Looking after the purchase of dry and frozen food items for our Catering Dept.
Responsibilities:-
(1) Check the local markets regularly to see the availability and
the price fluctuations related to our requirements.
(2) When a request is received from Stores for purchase of food items
after the Purchase Manager's approval, arrange purchase from the
approved vendors who supply us the quality items at best price
and deliver promptly.
(3) Purchase order with all details like items description, quantity and
price are released to suppliers after obtaining the Purchase
Manager's signature, requesting them to deliver to our Stores
within the scheduled time.
(4) For any bulk purchase, minimum 2 to 3 quotations are obtained.
(5) If any special offer comes from any dealer, discuss with the
Purchase Manager and, if approved by hum, arrange purchase as
per our requirement.
(6) Assist the Purchase Manager for direct import purchases by
providing all related details from the local market.
(7) Keep all concerned records intact as per the ISO regulations for
any future reference.
(8) Purchase Order copies with GRN and original invoices are sent to
the Accounts Dept. on a weekly basis for procession payments.
(9) Attend ISO meetings, etc.
Educational Qualifications : - Graduate Caliber, preferably with a degree / diploma in Hotel Management / Catering Technology.
Experience : - Minimum 7 years experience in hospitality in purchasing food items. Previous Middle East experience desirable.
Languages :- Excellent command over spoken and written English. Knowledge of Arabic will be an added advantage.
Age : - Around 35 years. - Candidate should possess a valid driving licence.
